  • Assisted in a miniature review of Environmental Justice screening tools to be used to aid current research projects.

  • Edited a 7-minute video for the Environmental Justice in Florida’s Coastal Communities group showcasing the work done within Duval and Brevard County that was submitted to the EPA Environmental Justice video competition.

  • Contributed to research involving PM 2.5 exposure by assisting in processing data and performing background research on biological mechanisms of exposure during the gestational period.

  • Created ArcGIS Storymap website to be used as a community resource where results from the EPA-funded PFAS Resilience Project and PFAS resources could be readily accessible to community members.

  • Presented ArcGIS Storymap website at the 2022 community conference in Satellite Beach, FL, where community members provided feedback to improve the website to address their needs.

  • Collaborated with faculty at Emory University to perform spatial analysis in a social justice project assessing the impact of redlining and local zoning laws in Atlanta, Ga.

  • Cleaned and processed 5 years of data to visually show change in water quality over time.

  • Performed water quality testing on reclaimed waste water to assess it’s usage in hydroponic experiment.

  • Set up hydroponics system using reclaimed waste water to grow produce.

  • Cleaned publicly available health data for fentanyl-related overdoses and created a workflow to aggregate death data to a spatial region defined by wastewater facilities.

  • Graphed and performed 3 statistical correlation tests to determine the association between fentanyl levels found in wastewater with deaths from fentanyl overdose.

  • Created a statistical model to determine the number of fentanyl overdose deaths based on measurements of fentanyl in wastewater.

  • Used a Local Moran’s I, SatScan, and smoothing techniques to determine spatial clusters of overdose deaths.

  • Performed a geographically weighted Poisson regression to determine the association between median income and fentanyl overdose within Cook County census block groups.

  • Drafted an aims report and budget for an educational intervention for agricultural workers focused on the occupational hazards of heat illness and dust exposure that resulted in grant funding allocation for the intervention in Spring 2023.
